Build the course.
Or build the course site.

Elyago LMS

A lightweight WordPress learning framework that gives you a coherent course experience from the start, with room to make the surrounding site entirely your own.

One product, two starting points

What are you here to build?

I create courses

Create a clear learning journey.

Start with an opinionated course structure that already understands how modules, lessons, resources, previews, and access belong together. Spend your time shaping the learning rather than deciding how every foundation should work.

  • Useful from the first courseSensible defaults bring course structure, access behaviour, and learner-facing presentation together, so you can begin with the course itself. Add your material, shape the sequence, and refine the learning journey from a coherent starting point.
  • A journey, not a collection of pagesOrder modules and lessons, place resources where they are relevant, and bring previews and access together as one coherent course experience.
  • Built inside WordPressCreate the course without surrendering control of the surrounding content, theme, commerce, or site.

I build course sites

Start useful. Stay in control.

Begin with a working course experience rather than an empty framework, while retaining control of the theme, integrations, and wider architecture.

  • A default composition, not a fixed hierarchyStart with a useful Course then Module then Lesson structure without being constrained by that hierarchy. Register different course components, define how they relate, and compose the structure your project requires.
  • Clear places to extendComponents, relationships, access behaviour, services, blocks, and templates have deliberate extension points, so you can change the course model as well as its presentation.
  • Keep control of the wider projectChoose the theme, commerce system and integrations that suit the site. Elyago LMS provides the course foundation without dictating the surrounding stack.

Why Elyago LMS

An LMS should know where to stop.

Established WordPress LMS plugins have often grown into broad suites, bringing course delivery, page building, commerce, membership, communications, reporting, and more into one system.

That breadth can be useful. On a custom WordPress site, it can also mean carrying systems the project does not need and working around decisions the plugin has already made.

Elyago LMS takes a more focused role. It provides a coherent course experience by default without trying to own the wider site, or lock developers into its default course structure.

The balance underneath

Easy to start with.
Difficult to outgrow.

Strong defaults simplify the start. Modular internals keep your options open.

Opinionated at the surface

Elyago LMS provides a coherent course model, learner-facing presentation, and access behaviour from the start.

Modular underneath

Components, providers, services, templates, and integrations have deliberate boundaries, so individual parts can be extended or replaced as a project becomes more specific.

In the current development build

WordPress-native courses, ordered modules and lessons, related resources, access-aware presentation, optional WooCommerce access, and extension points provide tangible evidence of that approach.

Status colours support meaning; labels remain explicit. Keyboard focus uses a high-contrast outline.

A focused product

An LMS should have clear boundaries.

Elyago LMS is responsible for the course experience: its structure, learning journey, access and learner-facing foundations.

It does not try to replace the theme, commerce platform or wider architecture of the site. Those choices remain independent, so each project can use the tools that fit it.

When it may not be the right fit.

A broader product is likely a better fit when a project needs quizzes, assignments, certificates, formal completion, institutional reporting, cohorts, prerequisites, drip scheduling, a large no-code suite, or a hosted course platform out of the box.
